Game of the Moment

Can't sleep. Like always.

So I photoshop.

Mirror's Edge is my current favorite game. I've succesfully beaten the campaign six times. I've found all 30 bags. I'm now working on my time trials.

Mirror's Edge

PS - Check out Mirror's Edge 2D. Only in beta stage right now. But it's pretty cool.

Mass Effect

MASS EFFECT

WARNING: If you are not a geek/nerd/loser, you will not
care about anything in the following blog post. Thank you.

Best game ever? No. But one of the best games ever? Most Definitely. You can't even believe how epic this game is. It's not the longest game ever, it doesn't have the deepest plot ever... but the simple fact that SO MUCH is dependent on how you react to certain situations... it's extreme. This is a kind of game that changes my perspective of games. Seriously. Starting out as just a soldier, you advance to SAVIOR OF EVERYTHING. Being an RPG, you level up by gaining experience (through various means). At the beginning you can choose between a few options - Soldier, Engineer, Adept, Infiltrator, Sentinel, or Vanguard. There are three specilizations - Combat, Biotech, and Technology. These classes mix and match these abilities to create a very unique style of combat - and unique set of skills to level up. I believe the system works VERY well and i have absolutely no complaints about the leveling system. Besides the leveling, during the game you can give your character his/her very own personality.
You can be a total a-hole or be extremely supportive and nice to everyone around you: it's your choice. Every time Shepard (you) talk, you get to choose the tone of what he says. Sometimes, it's as extreme as choosing rather someone lives or dies. While playing you feel as if you have absolute control of your character, not that the game is steering you in the direction it wants you to go. Mass Effect is chalk full of side quests that do or do not have ANY importance at all. Some of them give you a better sense of your allies, and some of them just make you angry and make you want to kill the baddies. .
I didn't even do every side quest available to me - and i stacked up a good 35 hours of gameplay. I'm sure it's possible to invest 40+ into Mass Effect. ALSO! The replay value is SUPER high because I want to know what it'll be like to play situations differently. I want to see how it effects the final outcome. Every "official mission" advances the plot MAJORLY and just makes you excited! Man. This game rocks. It's a MUST PLAY for any 360 owner (or PC owner, for that matter!)

Sleeping Troubles

As you can probably realize, I'm having some trouble sleeping.
It's a serious problem I've been having lately.
I probably get around 6 to 8 hours of sleep every couple days. That's only during my mid-day napping sessions.
At night, because of my inability to sleep, i keep myself busy. I play Mass Effect, Fable II, destroy my enemies in Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, watch Scrubs, and go outside and take pictures.... here are a few.

Eh....
But the thing is... I'm extremely tired through all this. I want to sleep - Honestly. I do... but I can't.
My mom is sending me a care package with some sleeping pills in it. I forgot exactly what kind. Anything, though, would probably help me.
I hate taking pills though. It's just - UGH.

ANYWAY -- I'm watching Scrubs Season 5 right now... and downloading an episode of Samantha Who. I really enjoy that show. Check it out! (Click on the link)

Peace out, yo.

Breakfast Troubles

I hate being hungry. This morning at around 0900 hours I went down to the Dub (the cafeteria) to get breakfast... i looked at their schedule and they didn't open till ten oclock.
Shoot.
Oh well, no problem. I GUESS i can wait an hour.
So i went back to my dorm (a two minute walk - no prob) and played an hour of DDR.
I rock, btw.
Then i walked back to the Dub... and the gate was closed. Gggrrrrr. I asked the guy inside when they'd open... he said 10:30.
Whatzaheck?
I didn't want to walk ALL THE WAY back to my dorm. hah. So i sat outside of the Dub and took pictures... lame ones.

And then RIGHT at 10:30 I casually entered the cafeteria and she slid my NAU ID... and i got the very first serving of the day.
Quite frankly, I'm proud of myself.
And now i'm sitting in my dorm... listening to Gansta's Paradise and about to CLEAN! yay.

FIRST!!!1!11! LOLZ

FIRST POZT!
Ok. So everyone around me is blogging...
I'll give it a shot? i guess?
I'm definitely not a "journal entry" kind of guy - so this will probably have one or two posts a month... but we'll see, right?
Right.
